$40-$45 per hour Austin, TX Contract Duration: 12+ Months Must Have Skills 3+ years of experience in CPU, SoC, or platform power/performance engineering Strong understanding of CPU microarchitecture (pipelines, caches, SMT, memory hierarchy) Experience with performance analysis and debugging Proficient in Python scripting and C/C++ programming Understanding of object oriented and modular software design Responsibilities Analyze CPU performance using hardware counters, profiling tools, and workloads Identify and debug performance bottlenecks across CPU, memory, cache, and interconnect Collaborate with SMU, BIOS, and firmware teams to tune power states (P states, C states, boost) Debug power and performance issues on pre silicon and post silicon platforms Execute and optimize manual and automated test plans Report system behavior and user experience observations (fan noise, thermals, responsiveness) Software & Tools Python, C/C++ Unit testing and basic test automation Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development Experience with Jira or similar ticketing systems Education / Experience BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience) Prior experience with client PC testing, validation, or debug preferred US Tech Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
