Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical, and business professionals across all disciplines. In collaboration with leadership, the Practice Manager provides strategic operational leadership, supervision, and direction in all administrative, financial, regulatory, quality, human resources, patient/employee satisfaction, and clinical aspects for the following scope: 10+ staff directly and indirectly managed 15,000+ budgeted annual visits Practice complexity factors such as multiple locations, large square footage, service‑line oversight, inpatient and cross‑department coordination, academic involvement, special clinical programs, multiple specialties, regulatory requirements, and external partnerships. Ensures daily practice operations run efficiently and effectively, including: Patient scheduling, billing, and coordination of services/facilities Providing quality care to patients and championing quality initiatives Maintaining a patient/customer focus as evidenced by satisfaction scores Achieving financial goals related to the budget Offering a collaborative work environment that values professional ownership and accountability Regularly reviewing work processes for efficiency and implementing technology and best practices Complying with regulatory requirements Acting as liaison to embedded specialists, external stakeholders, and other UPHS providers; serving as point person for general facility management Managing practice staff (directly and indirectly) Key Responsibilities : Internal Relationship Management: Regularly meet with employees to improve communication, provide constructive feedback, and champion patient satisfaction, quality, and financial performance. External Relationship Management: Build relationships with customers, staff, physicians, patients, and families; measure and improve satisfaction; develop positive relationships with facility owners and construction personnel. General Accountabilities: Demonstrate ownership of the role’s contribution to success, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and address diverse needs. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership teams to implement strategic plans, budgets, and procurement priorities. Patient Care Processes: Ensure efficient care delivery, maintain clinical excellence, and resolve patient/family concerns promptly. Clinical Effectiveness & Quality Improvement: Support the development of performance targets and quality improvement plans. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and licensing requirements. Change Management & Financial Management: Develop change management strategies, oversee payroll, revenue cycle, and managed‑care contract agreements, and analyze financial variances. Qualifications : H.S. Diploma/GED (Required) 4+ years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year of management experience in a healthcare setting; degrees may be considered in lieu of total experience. Preferable Associate of Arts or Science degree.
