Nurse PractitionerThe Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Out-Patient Cardiology Department. Now we invite you to join us from working with a team of exceptional healthcare professionals, and you'll have everything you need to do something incredible for yourself, and for others.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Working closely with all 20 physicians in the group, our Nurse practitioner will assist in managing high acuity post-op patients with the best care possible.Cardiovascular issues include but not limited to acute coronary syndrome, chest pain, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular disease, peripheral artery disease, aortic aneurysm, and venous thromboembolism/pulmonary embolism in our outpatient setting with collaborating physician.Will assist with medication adjustments depending on patient's clinical status.Post operative cardiac evaluation.Order diagnostic studies, tests, labs and review pertinent labs/studies (nuclear imaging testing, EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, etc.).Review telemetry readings.Educate patients on diagnosis, medications, dietary restrictions related to cardiovascular disease.Communicate with other specialties regarding patient care.Will also perform and supervise stress echoes in the office.This is a 5/8's role and will comprise of 100% out-patient care.The general working hours for this position will be between: 8am to 5pm.There are no operating room or in-patient duties with this role.There are no weekends with this position.Candidates interested in this position MUST possess at least 1-year minimum experience in Cardiology, Cardiac, telemetry, or ICU.***Prior or current experience working in a high acuity setting is REQUIRED***Educational Requirements:Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the Board of Registered Nursing.MSN Degree RequiredLicense/Certification Requirements:Current unrestricted Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State of California.Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certificate or eligible to obtain.Furnishing number issued by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).National Board Certification for Nurse PractitionerBLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red CrossExperience:Minimum one year Nurse Practitioner experience is required.Minimum two (2) years' experience as an Advance Practice Nurse strongly preferred.
