Position Title: Press Helper 12-Hour Shift

Wage: $21.65-$22.73 per hour

Shift: 12-Hour Shift

Hours: 5:00pm-5:30am

QPS Employment Group has a great Press Helper position available at a company in Buffalo Grove, IL. This is a 12-hour shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Press Helper Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Be familiar with the operation of all safety devices on the press.
• Read and interpret the Job Jacket and History Folder.
• Retrieve plate cylinders for the next order.
• Load raw material rolls into unwind.
• Prepare splices on unwind rolls.
• Remove printed rolls from the rewind.
• Load empty cores, cut them to the proper size, on rewind and prepare for splice.
• Palletized printed rolls and unused raw material rolls.
• Remove and collect raw material roll labels.
• Maintain the proper viscosity of all inks.
• Retrieve inks from the ink room for each job.
• Return unused inks to the ink room after completed jobs.
• Assist operator with press set up.
• Help monitor quality of material being produced.
• Install and remove cylinder gears on geared presses.
• Various duties as assigned by supervisor.

Press Helper Requirements:

• Ability to visually inspect parts to identify correct parts and discern quality.
• Ability to work on feet for an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Multi-tasking ability a necessity.
• Basic math skills.
• Should be able to make basic decisions concerning quality and parts identification.
