The Center for Hope and Healing, Inc. (CHH) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the healing and empowerment of survivors of sexual violence through counseling, trauma-informed advocacy, and to the prevention of sexual violence through community mobilization and education. We are a multicultural organization whose mission is grounded in social justice and to ending intersecting forms of oppression and violence. CHH currently seeks a Full-Time Prevention and Education Manager

Vision:

Participating in and attending local, statewide, and national committees/groups relevant to anti-racist, prevention education, and community building opportunities.

Managing and providing oversight for CHHs Hope Prevents programs and projects, focused on Black Women & Girls, Engaging Men & Boys, the Khmer community, LGBQ/T+, and Youth communities.

Delivering presentations and training at local, statewide, and national sexual violence prevention convenings.

Responsibilities Include:

Providing supervision and guidance to Hope Prevents team, and interns.

Implementing and developing creative strategies for prevention outreach and education programming for audiences of all ages, including school aged youth, parents, teachers, youth serving professionals and community members.

Building relationships and rapport with diverse key community partners, groups, and agencies such as school personnel and community-based organizations.

Develops, coordinates, and implements innovative educational events and awareness campaigns on a range of topics related to gender-based violence, anti-oppression work, prevention, education, and awareness.

Develops and administers assessments of prevention education efforts to track changes in knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs.

Gather, maintain accurate, and complete records of programs and projects, and ensure data is entered into Empower DB.

Monitor the effectiveness of education, training, and outreach activities and make recommendations for adjustments as necessary

Once trained participate in providing coverage for 24-hour hotline.

Once trained support internal RCC training.

Other related duties assigned by direct supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

Masters Degree in field of social work, psychology, community organizing, violence prevention or comparable lived experience.

5+ years experience in the health and social service field.

2 years in program management/supervision.

Demonstrated experience developing and implementing culturally relevant programs for diverse cultural and linguistic populations.

Demonstrated ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Capability to take a leadership role with non-profit agencies, volunteers, and staff while working with high level of self-direction with results-oriented approach.

Expertise in program evaluation, outcomes, and measurement systems

Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Experience with group presentations, providing training and technical assistance.

Other Requirements:

Dynamic community organizer, able to transfer knowledge to staff.

Experience facilitating educational presentations and curriculum writing is a plus

Excellent public speaking, presentation skill, and communication skills both verbal/written.

Bilingual in Spanish, Khmer and/or Portuguese, highly desired.

Trained RCC Counselor or ability to begin Rape Crisis Counselor training within 1 month of hire.

Proficiency in MS Office and professional experience with Social Media applications.

Pay: $42,556.64 - $51,251.01 per year
