Pricing ManagerPosition Objective: To assist customers in their shopping experience by ensuring all store products are clearly marked with accurate prices and all price changes are made in a smooth, timely manner. Reporting Structure: This position formally reports to the Store Director.Status: This is a non-exempt position.KnowledgeEssential Knowledge* A valid driver's license is required for deliveries.* Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite and 10-key is required.* Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino's Learning Plan.Non-Essential Knowledge* A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.SkillsEssential Job Functions* Provide direct supervision of the activities of all other members of the pricing team in a manner that is operationally effective, but is also motivating and respectful.* Clearly communicate to team members the goals that have been set for the department, then implement plans to reach those goals.* Provide effective coaching, corrective actions, and performance evaluations to improve individual and team performance.* Address employee relations issues and, if needed, effectively work with the Human Resource team to resolve issues.* Create schedules that effectively manage labor costs.* Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner and recognize when it is appropriate to involve a member of the store management team.* Knows and implements the Cosentino's Customer Service Standards.* Knows the store's products, procedures and policies and can accurately and courteously answer vendor and customer questions.* Ensure all signs are clear and placed properly according to sign standards to avoid confusion with our customers.* Proofread all store ads and signage for accuracy.* Ensure the pricing system is accurately updated with new items.* Verify merchandise price file against shelf price tags to ensure accuracy.* Know how to operate all pricing and scanning equipment properly.* Pass store audits and achieving minimum scores set by corporate directors.* Comply with government rules regarding food stamp & WIC purchases.* Comply with weights & measure regulations.* Communicate any problems with pricing, pricing changes, or signage issues to the store management team and corporate office in a timely, professional manner.* Meet or exceed productivity standards to produce desired team and individual results.* Know, comply with, and ensure the team complies with all health regulations, sanitation guidelines and safety procedures for your department and your store.* Able to operate, clean and maintain all equipment safely and competently.* Demonstrates the strong verbal and interpersonal skills necessary for positive customer and peer interactions.* Demonstrates the basic math and reading skills required for the position.Non-Essential Job Functions* Conduct effective interviews to hire the highest quality candidates for the pricing team.* Ensure all new employees receive orientation and training as needed.* Promote a positive overall team atmosphere that includes cooperation and teamwork, high morale, positive interpersonal interactions and communications, and recognition for a job well done.* Support your company by completing additional tasks identified by management, assisting other stores or departments as needed and gaining new skills when necessary.Physical AbilitiesEssential Abilities* Reaching overhead with both arms, twisting at the waist and lifting objects with both hands weighing up to 10 lbs.* Pushing and pulling grocery items to the proper locations as needed, up to a peak force of 5 lbs.* Standing and walking for long periods of time on tile, asphalt, concrete or other hard surfaces.* Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 30lbs., to a height of 36 inches.* Bending and squatting, at times all the way to floor level.Non-Essential Abilities* Climbing a ladder, possibly up to 5ft.
