This role offers the chance to work on advanced analytical instrumentation (Mass Spectrometry & Gas Analysis) within semiconductor manufacturing applications, alongside a global technical and leadership team.
Key Highlights:
  • Role: Principal Applications Scientist
  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Location: Onsite Milpitas, CA (Relocation negotiable)
  • Compensation: Approx. $180,000 per year + Bonus (to be disclosed in offer)
  • Work Authorization: US Citizen or Green Card holder
  • Travel: Up to 30% domestic/international
  • Career Growth: Toward Product Management or Field Solutions Leadership
Role Overview:
  • Lead technical engagements with semiconductor customers and develop application-specific solutions around the company's flagship analytical system.
  • Configure, validate, and optimize mass spectrometry and gas analysis systems for performance testing and customer applications.
  • Support onsite system evaluations, troubleshooting, and product demonstrations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to define product roadmaps and next-generation solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's in engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related field (Electronics/Electrical preferred).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation (Mass Spectrometers, Gas Analyzers, or Plasma Diagnostics).
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes (Etch, CVD, ALD).
  • Strong experience in customer engagement, technical presentations, and product demos.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and scripting (Python, LabVIEW) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
