Job Summary Elbit Systems of America is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Microsoft 365 (M365) Engineer with specialized expertise in GCCHigh (GCCH) environments and one commercial instance for collaboration technologies with a focus on Exchange, SharePoint Online, Teams, Power Platform, and Microsoft Purview. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced M365 and compliance solutions to enhance organizational communication and collaboration while ensuring data governance, security, and regulatory compliance. Administration of a small footprint of Azure services along with data archiving architecture. Translate requirements and convert legacy on-prem Microsoft systems to modern M365 cloud solutions in GCCH Lead new designs, implementations, and optimization of M365 collaboration tools, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and MSPurview, in a GCCH environment. Ensure all solutions comply with federal security standards, including FedRAMP, FISMA, CMMC, and DISASTIG. Develop and manage data governance frameworks using Microsoft Purview to ensure compliance with government regulations and organizational policies. Implement and maintain security and compliance protocols, including data classification, retention policies, eDiscovery, and data loss prevention (DLP) strategies in MSPurview. Guide developers on Power Platform best practices. Innovate and implement strategies to improve collaboration through M365 tools while maintaining strict compliance and governance standards. Manage migrations to GCCH and oversee upgrades of M365 services, ensuring compliance and data integrity. Contribute to the Enterprise Collaboration Services team strategy and develop junior level engineers. Contribute to the VoIP solution as it relates to Teams Calling and conferencing. Contribute to M365 GCCH tenant business‑to‑business (B2B) cross‑cloud connections. Collaborate with compliance officers, IT leadership, and government agencies to align collaboration and governance solutions with business and regulatory requirements. Stabilize and sustain newly adopted cloud solutions for a user base transitioning from a former cloud environment and legacy on‑prem solutions. Provide Tier3 support for advanced M365 and MSPurview‑related issues and resolve escalated incidents effectively to meet immediate needs of the business. Maintain thorough documentation for M365, MSPurview configurations, compliance frameworks, and standard operating procedures. Education, Experience/Knowledge & License/Certification Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field. US Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance (if required). 6+ years of experience in Microsoft365 engineering. 3+ years working in GCCH environments with compliance‑focused responsibilities. Extensive knowledge of M365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Platform, Dataverse, and Co‑Pilot). Hands‑on experience with MSPurview, including data classification, DLP, eDiscovery, and compliance policies. In‑depth knowledge of Power Platform (PowerAutomate, PowerApps, PowerBI) and its integration with compliance workflows. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for compliance automation and M365 administration. Strong understanding of GCCH‑specific compliance and security protocols. Familiarity with hybrid environments and on‑premises/cloud system integrations. Experience working in highly regulated industries or government organizations.
