Job Title: Principal Electrical/Hardware Engineer – Medical Device

Location: Mounds View, MN (Onsite)

Type: W2 Contract

Duration: 2 years


Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical/Hardware Engineer with strong expertise in hardware design, PCB development, and AI-enabled engineering workflows to support medical device product development.


Key Skills

• Electrical Hardware Engineering: Design, characterization, testing, debugging, and integration of electronic systems

• PCB Design & Circuit Modeling: Schematic capture, simulation, and robust circuit development

• AI-Driven Engineering: Application of AI tools, automation, and scripting to enhance design, testing, and analysis workflows

• Testing & Validation: Formal test planning, execution, data analysis, and documentation in regulated environments.


Core Responsibilities

• Perform hardware testing, debugging, and characterization to support product development

• Lead verification and validation activities, including test planning and documentation

• Develop and implement AI-enabled tools and automation to improve engineering efficiency and quality

• Design and integrate electrical systems, PCBAs, embedded hardware, and interfaces

• Collaborate cross-functionally with software, systems, quality, and manufacturing teams.


Preferred Experience

• Experience with embedded/edge AI or AI-enabled hardware systems

• Knowledge of medical device standards (ISO 13485, IEC 60601, FDA regulations)

• Hands-on experience with automation, scripting, and data analysis tools.


Experience Required

• 3+ years in electrical hardware engineering

• Exposure to AI tools or automation in engineering workflows preferred.
