About Us

globaledit, a division of CoCreativ, is the leading provider of a powerful SaaS platform that optimizes and accelerates creative production. We are Private Equity-backed, based in New York City & Los Angeles with a well-established client base. Our Clients include leading fashion brands, retailers, and entertainment companies – including Morphe Cosmetics,  Rag and Bone, and Warner Bros. This role is a hybrid position based onsite in our offices in Tribeca 3 days per week.

The Role

We need a technical visionary who gets things done. You'll work with a team of 14 engineers, building and scaling a serverless platform that handles creative production workflows for major brands.

This isn't a job where you sit in meetings all day. You'll be in the code, making architecture calls, mentoring engineers, and shipping features. You'll work closely with Product to shape what we build, bringing technical perspective to prioritization and planning.

Your team operates with autonomy. Your job is to set direction, remove blockers, and make sure we're solving the right problems the right way. We need someone who can balance "let's move fast" with "let's not break everything."

What You'll Do

Build and Ship

  • Make architectural decisions for our serverless platform – you own the technical direction
  • Review code, challenge approaches, and guide the team toward better solutions
  • Jump into our most important technical problems and get hands on in the code
  • Identify what's slowing us down (tech debt, process, tooling) and fix it

Drive Results

  • Work with Product to translate "what we need" into "what we're building"
  • Keep an eye on AWS costs and performance

Our Stack

We run a modern, serverless architecture on AWS:

  • Backend: C#/.NET on Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions
  • Frontend: React on S3/CloudFront
  • Infrastructure: CloudFormation for IaC
  • Tooling: Azure DevOps (repos, pipelines, project management)
  • Plus: Electron desktop app, React Native iOS app, Photoshop plugin (maintained but not frequently updated)

If you're comfortable with AWS serverless and have worked with similar technologies, you'll be fine. We don't need you to know every tool on day one.

Requirements

What You Need

The Basics:

  • 7+ years building software, 3+ years leading engineering teams
  • Deep AWS experience, especially serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions)
  • Strong backend chops (C# is great, but any similar language works if you're solid)
  • You've managed distributed teams and made it work across time zones
  • You can review code, make architecture decisions, and explain why your approach is better
  • You know how to tell Product "no" when you need to

The Mindset:

  • You're a doer. You don't just delegate – you jump in when needed
  • You can move fast without cutting corners
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and figure things out as you go
  • People like working with you because they can trust you to make smart calls

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with CloudFormation and Azure DevOps
  • Experience adding AI/ML to existing products (Bedrock, OpenAI, etc.)
  • Background in creative production, media, or SaaS
  • Experience with Datadog
  • AWS cost optimization experience

Have most of this and are excited about the challenge? Apply. We care more about drive and ability than perfect resume matches.

Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $185,000 - $200,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

This is a hybrid role with several days per week onsite in our studios in Tribeca and requires flexibility to work in-office and remotely.

We offer a competitive benefits package including major medical, dental and vision insurance, FSA, HSA, and employee discounts.

Industrial Color is a division of CoCreativ, a family of integrated creative production companies. Industrial Color partners with top brands, agencies, and creative professionals providing a full range of essential production services. For over 30 years, we've led the industry through a culture of innovation, bringing state-of-the-art digital production and post-production solutions to our clients.
