This role is focused on fostering, developing, and enhancing strong, long-term partnerships with dealer principals, general managers, finance managers, and other key dealership personnel to support the growth and performance of MBFS products and services.Core Responsibilities:Dealer Relationship Management: Build and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with both new and existing dealers. Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for MBFS, providing consistent engagement through in-person visits, virtual meetings, performance reviews, and strategic planning sessions.Business Development: Actively drive volume growth across all MBFS business lines including retail financing, wholesale floorplan lending, and insurance product penetration for both passenger cars and vans. Identify and execute market specific opportunities to increase financial product adoption and dealership profitability.Strategic Planning & Portfolio Oversight: Work closely with internal MBFS stakeholders to develop and implement market strategies that align with broader corporate objectives. Analyze dealer performance metrics, credit quality, risk exposure, and overall portfolio health. Recommend and deploy tactics to ensure balanced, profitable, and sustainable growth.Execution of MBFS Strategy: Function as the local extension of MBFS leadership, responsible for effectively communicating, implementing, and reinforcing corporate strategy and initiatives. This includes aligning dealer operations with national incentive programs, process enhancements, digital tool adoption, and compliance standards.Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams across credit, risk, remarketing, sales operations, and compliance to ensure seamless delivery of services and to resolve dealer inquiries or issues in a timely and professional manner.Market Intelligence & Feedback: Provide continuous feedback to MBFS leadership on dealer sentiment, competitive activity, and market conditions. Utilize this information to influence strategic decisions and support program innovation.Qualifications & Skills:Valid Driver's LicenseWell-developed communication, problem-solving, and complaint resolution skills.Ability to work independently in a remote location.Negotiation skills.Ability to strategize, plan, and execute a plan.Professional presentation skills.Key relationship management (internal and external contacts).Additional Skills:Microsoft Office SuiteCustomer relationship work experience for a financial services company (3 years)Retail credit work experience for a captive finance source (1 to 3 years)Dealer credit work experience for a captive finance source (1 to 3 years)Insurance sales experience for a captive finance source (1 to 3 years)Commercial van sales experience for a captive finance source (1 to 3 years)Previous finance manager experience would also be an asset.
