Principal Power Electronics and Hardware Engineer Compensation: $150K - $200K base Smithtown, NY areaPower Technology Associates, Inc. has been engaged by our Long Island, NY client to identify candidates for a Principal Power Electronics Engineer position. Our client is a preferred provider of high voltage power solutions and is seeking a highly talented, motivated Engineering professional in the field of Power Electronics, Power Management and Digital Controls technologies and applications, to include development, testing & validation. Qualifications & RequirementsMSEE or equivalent in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years’ experience in hands-on product & technology development in the power conversion & management (power electronics field). High voltage & power conversion technology experience is highly desired.Extensive knowledge of power electronics, power conversion, analog circuit design and functional knowledge of magnetic design principles, both low & high voltage preferred.7+ years leading an engineering team in a global company with a preference for direct exposure to a manufacturing environment,Demonstrated leadership abilities with focus on tactical as well as strategic business aspectsDemonstrated ability to identify & enhance the strengths of team members, coaching, motivating, and directing as needed Commitment to fostering high performance, and an environment of open collaboration and teamwork Flexible, customer focused orientation with an eye on successful and seamless project execution as well as on the strategic needs of the companyPassionate about collaborating with other company teams in a multidisciplinary and multifunctional environment (sales and marketing, operations, quality, supply chain), customers…etc. to drive a continuous and strong focus on value creation Excellent project management skills, knowledge of other engineering design & analysis tools in the field of power conversion, power management, digital & analog control.Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally (approximately 10%)Contact: Bob PartridgePower Technology Associates, Inc (Cell) 617 331-1511
