Schedule:  9/80-  Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off Job Description: The Program Management Excellence (PMX) team within the Maritime Sector is looking to fill a Functional Lead role.  The successful candidate should be an experienced Program Manager and/or Engineering Manager who is well-versed in People, Process, and Tools best practices within the Aerospace & Defense industry.  The successful candidate will serve as the enabler for Engineering execution across all programs in the sector.  The candidate must be able to lead cross-functionally with the other members of the Maritime PMX staff, Engineering functional partners and the sector’s IPTs to drive predictable program performance. Essential Functions: Drive and support predictable performance across all sector programs for the Engineering function Partner with program, other IPT members with Engineering function to support ensure executable baseline plan (cost and schedule) Drive and support program baseline planning for the Engineering function Manage Division CAM training for the Engineering function Partner with program, IPT members with the Engineering function to ensure Engineering IPT lead / CAM excellence Serve as and IPT support member and advocate for Engineering functional initiatives within sector programs Assist and support the function for Gate and Independent Reviews for the sector Drive program R&O management for the Engineering function Support Engineering with EAC/ETC development, review, and approval Support the program, IPT and Engineering function for preperation of various sector and division reviews Reensure Engineering policy and process requirements are applied within programs Support continuous improvement projects Coordinates and adjudicates PMX support priorities Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience or post-graduate degree and 10 years of experience or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience Ability to obtain Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance 10+ years of prior experience in Aerospace & Defense program management, Engineering management and
