Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Principal Quality Analyst or Sr Principal Quality Analyst with experience in quality, manufacturing, or inventory to join our team in Sykesville, MD.Role and Responsibilities:This Shipping Quality Analyst will perform or assure quality, risk management, safety, reliability, and maintainability of program achievements in accordance with contractual requirements to support multiple programs. Candidates must work well in a team, demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, possess the ability to plan and be customer-support focused. Individuals must also have demonstrated ability to evaluate whether documents, instructions and procedures are being followed during execution and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. This position is full-time on site.Responsibilities include:Reviews all material and associated documents moving in and out of the shipping area to support multiple programsFacilitates the documentation and resolution of all non-conforming material moving in and out of the shipping areaEnsures that performance, products, and services conform to established company, customer, and regulatory standardsPulls, analyzes, and reports Shipping Quality metrics during weekly SQDCM meetings and monthly PCAB to site-wide managementLeads process audits and continuous improvement efforts to identify and close gaps in the shipping processesCollaborates with packaging engineering and operations to ensure quality standards are in placeLeads or participates in Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA)Makes recommendations based on issues or observations to site and program leadership for risk reduction and continuous improvementIs the Focal point for BPMI Government Representative inspections, periodic evaluations, and any associated formal or informal requests for corrective actionPerforms technical reviews of packaging instructions, drawings, SOW's, etc. as requiredCollaborates in a team environment with excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to support weekend work, as needed.Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree, or 9 years of relevant experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearanceUS Citizenship requiredBasic Qualifications for a Level 4:A Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or 6 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree, or 12 years of relevant experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearanceUS Citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Quality reviews of shipping material and the shipping processContinuous ImprovementExperience in developing or reviewing Root Cause / Corrective Action activitySAP experience and knowledge for tracking and managing materialExperience with dispositioning hardware for quality related issues in a manufacturing facilityExperience in Quality in a Defense IndustryExperience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) techniquesExperience with leading cross-functional teams to resolve problems or issuesPrimary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $168,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
