Northrop Grumman's Corporate Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to support the Engineering & Manufacturing Solutions (EMS) organization. The selected candidate will support engineering tools in multi-sector enterprise environments (unclassified and classified). The position will deploy, support, customize, and maintain the suite of Commercial and Open-Source applications used by Software and Systems Engineering. The ideal candidate will be within driving distance to a Northrop Grumman office in Florida, Maryland, or Virginia. Key Responsibilities: Configure, deploy, and administer commercial and open-source SW Factory software. Develop code to aid in administration of the SW Factory. Provide end user support to SW Factory suite of applications. Monitor, address, and resolve production SW Factory application incidents, reports. Interfacing, collaboratively, with the other development and administration teams inside of Corporate. Maintain strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and products. Basic Qualifications: 5 Years of relevant experience with a Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD. Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level security clearance (or higher) to be considered. Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment. Must have experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems. Ability to work well in a virtual team environment, with team members located throughout the country. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and juggle more than one task at a time. Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Server/Client Software installation experience. Understanding of core IT competencies (Networking, Servers, DBs, Apps). Experience programing in scripting languages (Particularly Python). Experience in deploying applications via Kubernetes. Preferred Qualifications: Strong technical (administrative is preferred) foundation in several of the following technologies: Jenkins, Docker, GitHub, Gitlab, Key Cloak, SonarQube, Nexus Repository Lifecycle, Grafana, Atlassian (Crowd, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Fisheye and Crucible). Administration experience with Postgres. Development experience with ServiceNow. Candidates have a current U.S. Government Secret level security clearance (or higher). CompTIA Security+ certification. AWS console administration experience.
