Job Description And Duties

Current State employees who do not meet the minimum qualifications for this classification may apply for this vacancy as a Training and Development assignment.


Under the direction of the Prison Industries Administrator, this position is primarily responsible for the smooth operation of the Healthcare Facilities Maintenance (HFM) program at California Medical Facility (CMF).
The Prison Industries Manager supervises 26 Civil Services employees and 40-50 incarcerated individual workers.
The Prison Industries Manager is responsible for both shifts and assists the Prison Industries Administrator in the overall management of CMF and acts in his/her behalf during any absence from the institution.
Travel between the institutions of California State Prison-Solano (SOL), San Quentin State Prison (SQ), and California Medical Facility (CMF).

New employees traveling 50 miles or more from their home address or headquarters location to attend NEO will receive a travel advance sufficient for meals, incidentals, and travel accommodations for the duration of NEO .
