Private Client Trade Specialist Apply
The Private Client & Trade Specialist is responsible for executing private client and trade experiences with the highest level of elevated hospitality and brand knowledge.
Position Responsibilities
- Host guests for tastings, experiences, tours, and trade immersions.
- Be a team player, working in a team-oriented environment to reach daily, weekly and monthly sales goals.
- Work at winery events when necessary.
- Must have consistent communication with the Tasting Room Hospitality Management team.
- Read daily communication log for updates and announcements.
- Attend requested meetings to stay updated with goals, new releases, new programs, and all other educational materials.
- Provide luxury service while providing guests with knowledge on the unique qualities of our wines.
- Promote and sell wines, wine club memberships and merchandise by assisting and educating guests by listening to the guest and offering relevant and sincere direction.
- Welcome Guests personally as a brand ambassador, exemplifying luxury hospitality.
- Save name, email, and CRM notes for all visitors.
- Member and Guest account management, including phone calls and thank you cards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on wines and changes in all SOPs.
- Focus on both small and large private groups and on special tours and tastings.
- Operate POS system with accuracy.
- Follow opening and/or closing procedures, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Utilize guest profile and notes to customize experience.
- Provide Guests with referrals and reservations to local restaurants, wineries, and transportation companies.
- Write detailed notes regarding each visit.
- Responsible for tracking and logging visitor data, including referral source.
- Help train new members of the hospitality team.
- Participate in the planning, set up, execution, and/or break down of events.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Certification from WSET, SWE or Court of Sommeliers.
- Experience with speaking effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Highly motivated, hospitality-and sales-driven with an outstanding work ethic.
- Professional appearance and demeanor when dealing with guests and vendors.

Working Conditions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.
- Long and irregular hours during peak seasons and special events.
- Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
- Sitting for long periods of time (8 hours per day).

Compensation for this role is $19.00/hr. This position is eligible to participate in the tip pool at DAOU.
