Job Summary:

The PRN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, patient-centered care to residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures. The CNA assists nursing staff in the delivery of basic care, promotes resident comfort and safety, and ensures adherence to infection control and safety standards. This is an as-needed position offering flexibility in scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and any changes in resident condition.
• Provide compassionate support and companionship to residents.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning of residents to prevent falls and pressure injuries.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
• Report any resident concerns, unusual conditions, or incidents to the nursing staff promptly.
• Follow infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene and use of PPE.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality resident care.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Jersey.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum 6 months of CNA experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
