QualDerm Partners is looking for a PRN Medical Assistant to join our team in Crystal, MN. As a PRN Medical Assistant, you will be a key player in providing high-quality care to our patients on an as-needed basis. This role is perfect for individuals seeking flexible scheduling while making a difference in patient lives. Your contributions will help our patients receive the exceptional care they deserve as they embark on their wellness journeys.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of patients for examinations by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
  • Support physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring necessary instruments are available.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality are upheld at all times.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage communications effectively.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and skincare practices.
  • Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and adequately stocked with supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and dermatological practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for patient and team interactions.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems and office software.
