The Reecer Law Firm – Denton, TX 76210

Experienced Legal Administrative Assistant for Denton Law Firm

Seeking full-time Administrative Assistant with minimum of 1 to 3 years of law office experience.

Position Overview: The person in this position will be responsible for providing a variety of clerical tasks to support paralegals and attorneys with estate planning and estate and trust administration.

Responsibilities of the Paralegal:

  • Greeting and assisting clients during office appointments
  • Answer all phone calls
  • Schedule client consultations and appointments and maintain calendar
  • Record and store client information (open and close files)
  • Post billing expenses and time daily for attorneys and run monthly invoices
  • Electronically deposit all client payments and apply to client accounts
  • Sort incoming mail and deliver outgoing mail to post office (prepare priority mail)
  • Travel to Court and County Recorder to file and record legal documents
  • Prepare Client Service Agreements
  • Assist in office contracts and vendor management (including IT)
  • Order legal supplies and other items for office
  • Other duties as assigned by paralegals and attorneys

Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent mathematical, organizational, and technical skills
  • Ability to produce a high-quality work product and follow up with prospective clients
  • Notary Public (or will become Notary Public upon employment)
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and have reasonable working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Timeslips billing software a plus
  • Prior legal experience in new client intake a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills ---will require significant communications with clients and attorneys via email, phone and Teams
  • Be detail-oriented with ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines
  • Accurate, attentive, and experience handling sensitive or confidential information
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and other staff members

Education Requirements:

Minimum of 1 to 3 years Legal experience, Paralegal Certificate, and/or office administrative experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00 per year or higher based upon experience and education/certification

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Denton, TX 76210: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

  • Microsoft Office Suite: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Adobe
