Position Overview
- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process discovery, value stream mapping, and business process automation, coupled with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare domain. As a Process Consultant, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and optimize processes to drive efficiency, enhance customer experience, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end process discovery to identify and document existing workflows, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate value stream mapping sessions to identify value-adding and non-value-adding activities within processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design future-state processes aligned with business objectives.
- Analyze and recommend business process automation solutions to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Leverage your healthcare domain knowledge to ensure compliance with industry regulations and to address domain-specific challenges.
- Develop detailed process documentation, including process flows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides.
- Provide recommendations and support for the implementation of process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with IT teams to evaluate and implement tools that enable process optimization and automation.
- Measure the impact of process changes through key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, educating teams on process improvement methodologies and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in process discovery and value stream mapping methodologies.
- Expertise in business process automation tools and techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose effective solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of the healthcare domain, including familiarity with healthcare processes, regulations, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in process mapping tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar software.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement frameworks is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Certification in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt).
- Hands-on experience with healthcare-specific systems and tools (e.g., EMR/EHR systems).
