Job Description:

  • Background/Experience: Required: A minimum of 3 year of job-related experience; A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) preferably in engineering.
  • The primary responsibilities of this position are to work with suppliers and design engineers on non-metallic components such as injection molded, thermoformed, blow molded, rotomolded, rubber, insulation, etc.
  • This includes ensuring that robust process controls are in place to address and prevent defects as well as developing new parts following the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) steps.
  • Responsible for the supplier's processes from design concept to the end of product life.
  • This position ensures the adequacy of the supplier's quality management system and the capability of people, training, tooling, fixturing and equipment.
  • Provides technical support during start-up activities. Ensures that APQP activities related to process control are being performed by the supplier.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required in related field (Engineering)
  • 1-4 years of experience in the field
  • Would consider associate degree with adequate experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of APQP activities.
  • Must have a thorough working knowledge of quality initiatives.
  • Experienced in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Teams, SharePoint etc.)
  • Desired: experience with non-metallic components and processes
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Maintains the highest ethical and professional standards.
