Key Responsibilities:

  • DCS Management: Oversee and troubleshoot the Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring seamless operations and implementing necessary system changes.
  • Automation Expertise: Provide critical support for maintenance and troubleshooting related to automation systems, including PID loops, variable speed drives, and instrumentation.
  • Global Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for DCS and automation consistency across various sites, driving standardization and efficiency.
  • Project Leadership: Manage and execute equipment upgrade projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • System Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and resolve system issues, initiating corrective actions and coordinating maintenance turnarounds related to automation.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Review and approve production records, maintenance procedures, and change requests, ensuring all activities meet regulatory standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with technicians, providing training on production and compliance changes, and ensuring the team is aligned with operational goals.
  • Vendor Management: Supervise contractors, negotiate vendor pricing, and recommend the best systems and components to meet operational needs.
  • Safety & Compliance: Approve work permits, ensure compliance with safety standards, and contribute to the continuous improvement of automation systems.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: BS in Engineering with 5+ years of experience as a Process/Controls Engineer, specializing in Siemens DCS and PLC automation systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Siemens PCS7, Step 7, WinCC Server, TIA Portal, and programming languages. Advanced troubleshooting skills in PID loops, variable speed drives, and control systems.
  • Networking & Security: Solid understanding of Profibus, industrial networks, safety instrumented systems, and Cyber Security.
  • Project Management: Experience managing projects exceeding $50k, with a track record of successful project execution.
  • ISO Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 environments, ensuring all processes meet stringent quality standards.
