We are seeking a dedicated Process Engineer - Project to join our team in Ripon, WI. In this role, you will lead projects that enhance workplace safety, improve product quality, optimize processes, and positively impact the company’s bottom line. You will collaborate across engineering functions, production, quality, purchasing, planning, and maintenance teams to implement and support new processes, equipment, and assembly systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as project leader for implementing new processes, equipment, and assembly systems.
  • Examine equipment, processes, operations, and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement in safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals for new equipment purchases and recommend suitable manufacturing processes.
  • Optimize existing and new manufacturing processes using Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain tools, jigs, and fixtures to enhance production efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate daily operations while driving cost reduction initiatives, including scrap, rework, and cycle time reduction.
  • Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including Visual Work Instructions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure equipment operates in a "like-new" condition.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Welding, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent related experience).

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years managing capital projects involving new equipment or systems.
    • 2-4 years of engineering project experience, preferably in a metal manufacturing environment.

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Pro E, SolidWorks, or Creo.
    • Experience with Lean manufacturing techniques, FMEA, root cause analysis, and process mapping.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent project coordination and communication skills.
  • Commitment to achieving world-class performance standards through continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
  • Minimal lifting may be required as part of the role.
