The company offers over 450 products, including resin-drying systems, blenders, feeders, material-conveying systems, temperature-control equipment, and granulators. Also specializes in extrusion solutions, such as gravimetric control systems, film and sheet scrap-reclaim systems, and downstream equipment for pipe and profile extrusion. Additionally, the organization excels in plastics process integration, engineering, and installing complete manufacturing systems to optimize raw material management, part handling, and process yield.Role Overview:The Extrusion Process Engineer position is an entry-to-mid-level role that involves collaboration with various departments, including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Product Management, Operations, and Sales. The engineer will contribute to the development and maintenance of world-class plastics extrusion equipment. Key responsibilities include:Developing processes and conducting customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) in the lab.Providing input for innovative product designs throughout all phases of development.Addressing and resolving product or process-related issues.Supporting equipment and processes for customers in the field.Coordinating factory travel and customer onsite support for startups and troubleshooting.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Gain expertise in product line.Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to drive customer requirements, innovation, and decision-making.Assist in the development of new products from concept to production.Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective solutions for product issues.Investigate and integrate new technologies into products.Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and lab personnel for customer lab trials and factory acceptance testing.Support the service department in resolving customer equipment and process issues.Provide onsite startup and training for customers on equipment operation and setup.Offer service support and implement machinery and controls changes at customer facilities.Provide feedback to engineering for design improvements and solutions to customer problems.Qualifications and Experience:Education: Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
