**Job Title**Process Engineer**Position Overview**Shaw Industries is hiring an Extrusion Process Engineer to provide technical assistance to the department manager, supervisors, associates, and internal customers daily. The Process Engineer will be responsible for managing capital projects, driving TPM initiatives and cost improvements, investigating off-quality situations, monitoring and analyzing departmental performance through reports, feedback, and observations.**Essential Job Duties:*** Act as a liaison between the Department Manager and department associates by providing effective lines of communication within the department.* Monitor all departmental safety, quality, production, processes, and procedures.* Ensure all departmental SMS procedures and instructions are followed.* Give direction and support to department employees with regard to achieving departmental goals.* Coordinate and oversee special departmental projects that contribute to the continued improvement in the area of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and efficiency.* Assist employees in resolving any job-related problems or concerns.* Attend or Conduct periodic departmental meetings.* Understanding of USF II.* Act as department driver for the TPM program.* Actively participate in SMS, TPM and S.A.F.E. programs.* Constantly search for areas to improve the Tape Extrusion Department.* Be available to assist all supervisors with problems that may occur, including but not limited to PI Process, TPM, quality, safety, equipment, and training.* Perform other non-quality related duties as directed by plant management.* Provide support for associates in the Tape Extrusion Department.* Assist in maintaining all support equipmentRequirements* Bachelor’s degree (Engineering discipline preferred) or equivalentCompetencies* Execute an action plan* Learn continuously* Build trusting relationships* Initiate action**Work Shift**8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AMShaw Industries is an equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.**Global Flooring Provider**Shaw Industries Group Inc. supplies carpet, resilient, hardwood, tile and stone, synthetic turf, and other specialty products to residential and commercial markets worldwide.**Operational Excellence**Our manufacturing operations and integrated supply chain deliver a broad array of products to meet diverse needs across residential and commercial markets throughout the world.**Award Winning**The success of our company and the success of our associates go hand-in-hand.
