Process Engineer Location: Dunbridge, OH Job Id: 787 # of Openings: 1 Position Summary The Process Engineer plays a hands‑on role in supporting safe, efficient, and high‑quality manufacturing operations. This position works closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and R&D to troubleshoot equipment, refine machine settings, and improve overall performance. Responsibilities include documenting and maintaining machine settings and technical procedures, supporting reliability efforts, and leading focused continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment, systems, and process consistency. Specific Responsibilities Work with Production to establish and document machine settings and procedures. Audit equipment for proper function, performance, and quality. Monitor statistical process control (SPC) data and apply sound judgment based on findings. Assist in troubleshooting and mechanical repairs for machines and ancillary equipment. Support machine modifications to improve performance, safety, and quality. Assist Production and R&D during machine trials by collecting data, making observations, and reporting results. Perform minor design work as needed. Demonstrate solid understanding of manufacturing equipment, components, and system interactions. Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field (manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, etc.) or equivalent hands‑on manufacturing engineering experience. 3–6 years of relevant engineering experience preferred. Experience using statistics and SPC in a production environment. Strong technical skills in manufacturing, machinery, and quality. Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and general machine systems. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process issues and follow a structured plan to resolution. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including safety guidelines, OEM manuals, and blueprints. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods; reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Ability to regularly lift up to 10 lbs., frequently lift up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to meet visual requirements including close, distance, and peripheral vision.
