Infinitek is partnering with a leading industrial manufacturer to recruit a Process Engineer to join a high-performing operations team in El Dorado, Arkansas. The Opportunity
As a Process Engineer, you will act as the technical authority for your assigned unit, driving safe, compliant, and efficient operations. You’ll work closely with operations and maintenance teams to improve process stability, enhance asset performance, and embed strong operating discipline across the plant.
This role offers a balance of day-to-day operational support and long-term process improvement initiatives, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both problem-solving in real time and implementing sustainable engineering solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & Compliance
- Maintain a strong field presence, reinforcing safe work practices and operational discipline
- Lead and support Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), and risk assessments
- Provide technical leadership during incident investigations and ensure effective corrective actions
- Keep process safety documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, relief systems, mass & energy balances) accurate and up to date
- Identify and mitigate process safety risks within assigned units
Operations Support & Leadership
- Build strong relationships with operators and frontline teams through regular field engagement
- Translate complex engineering concepts into clear, practical guidance
- Review operational data (logs, alarms, trends) to identify performance gaps
- Act as the technical lead during plant upsets, troubleshooting and supporting rapid recovery
- Promote a collaborative, feedback-driven team environment
Process Optimization & Performance
- Monitor and drive KPIs including yield, energy usage, raw material efficiency, and asset utilization
- Diagnose and resolve chronic process issues in collaboration with subject matter experts
- Optimize use of control systems and process automation technologies
- Lead initiatives to improve throughput, efficiency, and overall plant performance
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, engineering, and reliability teams
- Provide technical input on projects focused on process control and asset reliability
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (or related discipline)
- Experience in chemical, petrochemical, or heavy manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of process safety, environmental regulations, and quality systems
- Proven ability to drive improvements and collaborate across departments
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
