Process Engineer III - Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Objective Responsible for driving operational excellence through process optimization, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. Analyze current manufacturing processes to eliminate waste, reduce variability, and improve cycle times. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work). Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions. Improve process capability, yield, and first-pass quality. Develop and maintain process documentation including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control plans. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, scrap rates, downtime, and productivity metrics. Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to implement sustainable improvements. Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and layout optimization initiatives. Train and coach operators and supervisors on best manufacturing practices and continuous improvement tools. Qualifications Bachelors degree in engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment. Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Principals (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work). Demonstrated success implementing measurable process improvements that increased efficiency, reduced waste, and improved quality. Strong background in root cause analysis, data-driven problem solving, and statistical process control (SPC).
