Duration: 12+ Months (W2 Contract)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team in Reedsville, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes, addressing design and quality issues, and supporting production readiness. You will be expected to work closely with other engineers, technicians, and operators to enhance production efficiency and ensure high-quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform root cause analysis for design, process, and quality issues found during prototype builds on the production floor.
- Provide feedback on product design for ease of manufacturing and assembly.
- Execute production readiness builds, ensuring smooth transition from design to production.
- Create and optimize production line layouts and develop manufacturing assembly processes.
- Validate processes and documentation for release to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Design and implement production test fixtures, assembly jigs, and tools to support manufacturing operations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Support the dispositioning of discrepant materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Create new process documentation and update existing procedures to align with current standards.
- Provide training and technical support to engineers, technicians, and operators to enhance their skill sets.
- Perform additional duties as required to meet the needs of the business and improve manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Management, Operations, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience in process engineering, with strong skills in troubleshooting and process improvement.
- Familiarity with Lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Experience with process documentation, design feedback, and test fixture development.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in prototype builds and production readiness.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and manufacturing process optimization.
