Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive, innovative, and driven individual to join our team as a Process Engineer/Analyst. This role is pivotal in providing technical direction and leadership in manufacturing processes at our plant. You’ll be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing plant information systems and architecture, including creating new functionalities and maintaining existing ones such as CAD, KBE, and MES.

What You’ll Do:

  • Problem Solving: Tackle challenges related to our engineering systems, ensuring smooth delivery of instructions and programs to the shop floor via MES systems.
  • System Development: Lead the specification, development, and implementation of improvements in our systems architecture, including technical infrastructure and shop floor interfaces.
  • Technical Leadership: Demonstrate your expertise in applying information technologies across CAD/CAM/CAE, shop floor information systems, and manufacturing solutions.
  • Project Leadership: Manage systems-related projects from planning to execution, including testing and implementing new software functionalities.
  • User Support: Provide exceptional support by resolving user issues or escalating them as necessary, and communicate solutions effectively to internal customers.
  • Systems Integration: Maintain and enhance the integration of manufacturing and business systems within our Asheboro operations, driving continuous improvement and major development efforts.
  • Learning and Growth: Deepen your understanding of business processes and technical architecture to better facilitate and optimize plant operations.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Programming Proficiency: Experience with programming languages such as PLSQL, SQL, Java, or similar is essential.
  • Manufacturing Environment: Prior experience in a manufacturing setting with automated engineering systems is preferred, particularly in providing programs and instructions to manufacturing operations.
  • Experience Level: 2 years of relevant experience is required, with 5 years preferred.
