Job Description

Senior Process Safety and Risk Advisor

Port Arthur, TX
On site
12+ month contract

Let’s be honest.

In this role, you’re not sitting behind a desk writing reports no one reads. You’re the person people look to when something feels risky, unclear, or just not quite right. You walk the floor. You ask the tough questions. You help teams slow down, think it through, and do it safely the first time.

We’re looking for someone who truly lives and breathes process safety. Someone who can step into a petrochemical environment, earn trust fast, and lead smart, practical conversations around risk. Not theory. Not check-the-box safety. Real world, boots-on-the-ground prevention.

You’ll be guiding risk assessments, facilitating HAZOPs, coaching leaders, and helping embed a stronger safety mindset across the site. A mix of technical depth and people skills. Equal parts engineer and communicator.

If you enjoy turning complex risk into clear action and helping teams feel confident about the decisions they make, you’ll fit right in here.

Must haves
• Engineering degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, or Process Safety Engineering or similar
• 10+ years of process safety or risk experience in heavy industrial or petrochemical environments
• Hands-on experience leading and facilitating HAZOPs and structured risk assessments
• Strong knowledge of petrochemical regulations and compliance expectations
• Comfortable training teams, leading workshops, and speaking with operators through leadership

Nice to have
• Experience with consequence modeling tools like Phast
• Background with scenario-based assessments or bow-tie analysis

A quick note so expectations are clear. This role is focused on facilitating risk studies, assessments, and safety improvement efforts. It is not leading OSHA PSM program development or ownership.

At iSphere, we’re big believers that safety is personal. It’s about protecting people, not paperwork. We’re looking for someone who feels the same way and wants to make a real impact on the ground, not just on slides.

If that sounds like you, let’s talk.
