As a Process Engineering Co-op at Sunstar Engineering Americas, you’ll work on real projects in a supportive, growth-oriented environment. With guidance from experienced professionals, you’ll contribute ideas, ask questions, and build technical and professional skills. From optimizing workflows to supporting process improvements, your work will have real impact.


We’re looking for students who are:

• Analytical thinkers with a strong interest in process optimization.
• Comfortable working with data and hands-on in manufacturing environments.
• Collaborative team players who communicate effectively.
• Driven to solve problems and improve efficiency through innovation.

Requirements• Strong problem-solving skills for improving manufacturing processes and resolving production issues• Critical thinking to analyze process data and identify optimization opportunities• Technical aptitude with manufacturing equipment, process flows, and systems• Attention to detail in documenting procedures, process changes, and results
• Self-motivated with initiative to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions
• Collaborative team player with clear communication skills across operations and engineering teams• Support process engineering efforts including workflow optimization and production improvements.• Assist in preparing process documentation and performance reports.• Learn and apply manufacturing procedures and process monitoring techniques.• Accurately document process changes, observations, and results. • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and enhance manufacturing processes.• Communicate findings clearly in both verbal and written formats.Requirements:

• Actively enrolled in a college or university program with at least 35 credit hours completed by the start of the Co-op
• In good academic standing (preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher)
• Completed foundational math, science, and engineering courses
• Enthusiastic about learning manufacturing processes and engineering principles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
• Strong attention to detail in process documentation and data analysis

Preferred:

• Degree path in engineering, manufacturing, industrial engineering, or related fields

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Problem-solving mindset with a curiosity for process optimization

  • Must comply with all Federal, State, and Local, safety and environmental regulations, along with the Company’s quality, safety, and environmental policies.
