Location Altru Health System PO Box 6002 Grand Forks, ND 58201 Pay Range $77,500.80 - $116,251.20 Summary The Process Improvement Specialist leads significant changes in clinical, operational or transformational processes. Utilizes continuous improvement techniques and demonstrates a deep understanding of healthcare workflows through data analysis. Manages multiple projects, ensuring alignment with project sponsors, monitors progress, and leads change management processes. This role is crucial in driving continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of excellence. Essential Job Functions Supports and models behaviors consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Altru. Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to design and implement process improvements. Organizes resources effectively to support process improvement initiatives. Empowers employees, providers, and leaders by facilitating workshops and brainstorming sessions to understand current states. Leverages continuous improvement techniques such as Lean. Demonstrates a deep understanding of healthcare workflows and process capabilities through critical data analysis. Manages multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with project sponsors and adherence to timelines. Monitors project progress and makes necessary adjustments to meet objectives. Leads the change management process, considering financial, operational and human resources perspectives. Ensures smooth transitions and adoption of new processes. Writes and updates procedures to document changes resulting from process improvement initiatives. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with leaders, providers and employees. Fosters a team‑oriented environment that encourages open communication and continuous learning. Performs other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization. Certifications Lean, Green Belt and/or Black Belt Certification | Preferred ISO 9000 Certification | Preferred Education Required: Bachelor’s - Related Field Work Experience Required: A minimum of 2 years Related Experience Language Requirements This position requires proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure effective communication in the workplace and with patients, families, and team members.
