Operators work a rotating shift schedule with overtime as required by business needs. Operators will be placed in an area of the facility and expected to demonstrate competency for detailed Operations. The successful applicant will be part of a six-month performance feedback period. The Facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Successful applicants will also be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Respiratory fit test, pulmonary function test, and audiometric testing.ResponsibilitiesLive and demonstrate the Heartwell Renewables core valuesMust be able to visually monitor numerous computer screens and control points in a control room environment when assigned (including for extended periods of time)Work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule (including nights, holidays, and weekends)Adhere to all company safety policies and requirementsMust be available for on-call/relief dutiesLearn refining process operations and qualify on process jobsDemonstrate ability to understand and operate refining process operations, product tank, and chemical unloading.Duties include, but are not limited to, making periodic rounds per shift, monitoring the tank levels and transfers, tank gauging, collecting process and chemical samples, monitoring the units, equipment decontamination, equipment isolation (LOTO), assistance in equipment maintenance and writing work permitsOpening and closing manual valves and making needed process adjustmentsDetect and respond to process upsets and emergency situations and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staffComplete and pass annual audiometric and respiratory fit testMaintain a clean work areaOther duties as assignedJob RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:At least 18 years of ageValid driver's licenseMust have a High School Diploma or GEDStrong work ethic including but not limited to strong communication skills, hardworking, dedicated and punctual.Willingness to perform incipient fire response and other emergency response activities as trainedWillingness to work a rotating shift schedule and overtime as required by business needsBe fit to perform the essential functions of the job. Be comfortable working in an industrial work environment that may include loud areas around rotating equipment/operating equipment/heavy equipment, extreme temperatures, dust, work at heights, entry into confined spaces, and other potential chemical/atmospheric hazards that require use of appropriate PPEAbility to walk and stand for extended periods of time, lift minimum 40 lbs., climb ladders, stairs and work from elevated platforms.Adhere to a strict Drug and Alcohol policyAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English, including job specific technical language, sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.Basic math, reading, writing, and verbal skills along with basic computer skillsOther minimum qualifications may applyPreferred Qualifications/Experiences:Relevant education and/or training such as: vocational technical training curriculum in petrochemical/manufacturing or related fieldWaste water licenseDCS operation experience (DeltaV, iFix, Control Logix, SCADA, other HMI based programs)Instrumentation knowledge and experienceExperience working in a process operational/maintenance craft area, stable work experience in an agricultural, industrial or commercial industryExperience with operations in Renewable/Bio Diesel, Steam Reformation, Vegetable Oil Refining, Oil and Gas Industry, Wastewater Treatment, Boiler operations, Utility operations, Hydro Processing and or a PSM regulated facilityHeartwell Renewables is an equal opportunity employer.
