Responsibilities Check on equipment throughout shift to ensure equipment is working properly Read and clearly follow processes that are required Contribute to division results and performance Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations Operational Areas Carbon: Operate equipment specific to area such as bagging products, sampling and testing; manage spent carbon feed to reactivation furnace; switch tank feed from tank to tank of spent carbon; calibrate pH probes, operate a filter press, run facility wastewater treatment plant Regen: Sort bottles by size and resin; load and unload deliveries to and from regional branch; operate forklift; move bottles and materials through plant and load/unload trucks; evacuate bottles Position Requirements FORMAL EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required Must complete site specific safety training Ability to communicate clearly to team members Be able to follow and read instructions Have basic math skills Site Specific Requirements CARBON: Be able to complete 40 hour hazardous waste operations training Preferred Some manufacturing/plant experience Forklift driving Knowledge of computers Dimensions REQUIRED DIMENSIONS: Physical Requirements Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds Must be able to climb and descend stairs Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing May work indoors and outdoors as needed. Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt Work surfaces may include concrete Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required Travel Travel requirements: 0% 10% 20% 30% 40% 50% or more Disclaimer The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
