Job Summary

The Procurement Administrator is responsible for supporting the indirect purchasing team by managing administrative and transactional functions. Key tasks include creating purchase orders, addressing inquiries through the Procurement Operations shared folder, and ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and procedures. The role also involves fostering best practices for the purchase-to-pay process, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and resolving issues with plants and suppliers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create and manage purchase orders.
  • Address and resolve inquiries via the Procurement Operations shared folder.
  • Promote adherence to purchasing policies, best practices, and program compliance.
  • Generate and analyze reports to monitor KPIs.
  • Communicate with plant teams to resolve issues and share process improvements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address pricing, invoicing, and ordering errors.
  • Respond to phone calls and emails within 24 hours.
  • Provide support for other staff as needed during absences.
Requirements

Education:

  • Education beyond high school (less than two years of vocational training, special courses, or college) or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in purchasing, accounts payable, supplier management, or operations.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels.

Special Skills:

  • Strong judgment and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret policies, solve complex problems, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Capable of handling high workloads in a fast-paced environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.
