Pacific Seafood is seeking a motivated Procurement Analyst Intern to support distribution procurement operations through data-driven insights and analytical rigor. This role focuses on evaluating and improving purchasing performance across multiple locations—examining costing, fill rates, supplier performance, planning metrics, and standardization opportunities. The position plays a key role in helping the procurement team secure better pricing, enhance product availability, and drive continuous improvement across procurement processes.

The position plays a key role in helping the procurement team secure better pricing, enhance product availability, and drive continuous improvement across procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Model The Pacific Seafood Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Teamwork, Quality, and Excellence) in all actions and interactions.
- Analyze procurement data related to purchasing activity, spend, pricing, and supplier performance across all distribution locations.
- Track purchase orders, confirmations, lead times, and delivery performance to support service levels and product availability.
- Measure key performance indicators (KPIs) while designing clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support data‑driven decision‑making and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate supplier, item, and purchasing data within procurement systems.
- Support spend analysis and help identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to cost drivers, demand variability, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, inventory, and logistics teams to support daily procurement workflows.
- Assist in documenting procurement processes and identifying opportunities for standardization and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to special projects involving procurement analytics, system enhancements, or process optimization.
- Prepare presentations, summaries, dashboards, or reports for procurement leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring to Pacific Seafood
Required:
- Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, with a graduation date no later than June of 2026, in:
- Supply Chain Management
- Procurement
- Operations
- Business Analytics
- Or a closely related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams.
- Strong interest in procurement, supply chain, food distribution, or operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic PC knowledge.
Preferred:
- Collaborative and enjoys working in a team environment.
- Familiarity with seafood or agricultural product markets.
- Prior experience with reporting or data analysis tools.
