About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our team in supporting procurement operations across a global pharmaceutical organization. This role goes beyond transactional processing, offering the opportunity to contribute to the optimization of procurement systems, vendor management, and process improvements. As a key partner to stakeholders, you will play a vital role in aligning procurement activities with organizational objectives and compliance standards.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate and Support: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide seamless procurement support.
- Vendor Management: Ensure vendor information is up to date and assist with onboarding and diligence processes while maintaining the Approved Supplier List (ASL).
- Requisition-to-Pay Expertise: Process purchase requisitions and orders efficiently while resolving invoice discrepancies and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
- System Optimization: Act as a champion for procurement tools like Coupa and SAP, supporting system updates, enhancements, and integration strategies.
- Training and Communication: Provide training on procurement systems and processes, promoting consistent practices across the organization.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement enhancements to the procure-to-pay process, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business needs.
- Audits and Reporting: Support audit requests related to procurement activities and deliver accurate spend reports and analyses.
- Knowledge Sharing: Maintain procurement resources, such as SharePoint sites, to ensure easy access to up-to-date information.
- Special Projects: Participate in and contribute to strategic initiatives or projects as assigned by leadership.
What You Bring:
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: 2–5 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably within a pharmaceutical or regulated industry. Familiarity with Coupa or similar systems is an advantage.
- Technical Skills: Strong command of procurement tools (e.g., Coupa, SAP) and advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Key Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pharmaceutical procurement or regulated industries is a significant plus.
