The Newell Group has been engaged to locate a Procurement Category Lead for a great client in the Western Philadelphia Area. This $multi-billion, 100+ year old company has a strong reputation for the design and manufacture of high-quality products.
Onsite role in Western Philadelphia market
In this role, reporting to the Category Manager for Indirect- Fleet Management, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the expenses for all fleet items through vendor software to track total cost of operations
- Responsible for tracking and managing the transactional duties for the fleet management for heavy equipment, forklifts, autos, and auxiliary equipment
Lead process bids and RFQs for approximately 80 projects per year
Work with suppliers to ensure consistency to negotiated pricing
Ensure continuity of supply thru Supplier strategy
Create and present reports to all levels of management
Generate savings thru acquisitions, disposals, and cost avoidance
Ideal Candidates will have:
4 year degree required, MBA Preferred
Minimum 3+ years experience Purchasing
3+ years experience managing fleet operations
Strong data analysis skills
Demonstrated experience in problem solving, cost reduction, process improvement
Must have experience in working in a matrixed environment
Detail oriented with exceptional organization skills
Leadership presence and ability to influence others thru positive interactions
