With a healthy pipeline of secured work, they are looking to strengthen their procurement team with the appointment of an experienced Senior Materials Buyer.The RoleReporting into the Commercial Director, you will take ownership of the materials procurement function across multiple projects.Duties will include:Procurement of construction materials across all project phasesNegotiating pricing, terms, and supply agreements with key suppliersDeveloping and maintaining strong supplier relationshipsWorking closely with site, commercial, and estimating teamsManaging order placement, delivery schedules, and logisticsIdentifying cost-saving opportunities and market efficienciesMonitoring market trends and mitigating supply chain risksRequirementsMinimum 5+ years’ experience in a Buyer / Senior Buyer role within constructionStrong knowledge of materials procurement (groundworks through to finishes)Experience working for a main contractor or developerExcellent negotiation and communication skillsAbility to manage workload across multiple live projectsWhat’s on OfferCompetitive salaryCar allowance / company vehiclePension and benefits packageLong-term career progression opportunitiesStable and growing business
