Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Procurement Specialist role in Donald, OR.
Our client is a well-established manufacturing organization known for its commitment to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role plays a critical part in supporting manufacturing operations by sourcing materials, managing suppliers, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement aligned with production needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source, evaluate, and procure materials, components, and services required to support manufacturing operations.

  • Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, pricing compliance, and on-time delivery.

  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, addressing performance, quality, and delivery concerns.

  • Collaborate closely with production, engineering, quality, and inventory teams to align purchasing activities with operational needs.

  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast material requirements to avoid shortages or excess stock.

  • Track and resolve discrepancies related to pricing, delivery, quality issues, and invoices.

  • Support supplier negotiations related to pricing, lead times, and terms to achieve cost savings and efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation in ERP and other tracking systems.

  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement processes and supply chain efficiency.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Required: Minimum of 2 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Preferred: 5 years of experience in manufacturing procurement or supply chain management.

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and with external suppliers.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and problem-solve independently.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate supplier performance, pricing, and inventory data.

  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Workplace Expectations:
  • Report to the workstation on time and accurately record all hours worked.

  • Work overtime when approved or requested by management.

  • Maintain a cooperative and professional attitude toward coworkers, customers, and vendors.

  • Respect the confidentiality of company and supplier information.

  • Follow all safety requirements, policies, and procedures.

  • Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date procurement documentation.

  • Demonstrate sound judgment and professionalism when handling supplier or operational issues.

Work Environment:

This position is primarily office-based within a manufacturing facility, with occasional time spent in production areas, warehouses, and outdoor storage yards. Exposure to dust, noise, and varying conditions may occur. Occasional visits to suppliers and other external partners may be required.
