Job Summary The Procurement Specialist is a crucial resource for researching and facilitating the practical ordering of products and services and ensuring that supply commitments and business needs are met. They will support a variety of employees within the organization. This role will help to clarify requirements and evaluate and assist with determining suppliers. They will generate and format quotes as needed to meet customer requirements. Duties & Responsibilities Learn to evaluate material order content and applications; determine if there are any missing or incorrect components needs. Compare materials and components on cost, quality, specifications, availability, and lead time with vendors and manufacturers. Familiarize themself with active approved vendors and identify new potential vendors. Accurate data entry into our proprietary software. Provide Purchasers the accurate information for placing orders Generate proposals and submit to account management for submission to customers (As Needed) Able to communicate with the purchasing team and various suppliers and manufacturers effectively and decisively. Perform other related duties as required and assigned. Desired Skills, Certifications, and Education Must be able to work in a fast-paced department and be able to prioritize order requests. Extreme attention to detail, organizational and robust judgment skills Use of analytical abilities to problem solve and anticipate departmental requirements Possess a strong proficiency in computers, including an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Minimum of one year of clerical, audit, secretarial, purchasing, or inventory control experience or comparable time in college, trade, or business school Preferred: A background in either HVAC, Refrigeration, Inventory, or Parts Ordering Purchasing: 3 years minimum requirement Be an honest team player, growth-oriented, and able to do whatever it takes; safely! Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds; noise level is usually moderate.
