Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our team and manage the procurement process for our projects. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products within budgetary constraints.

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of supply chain management principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure materials, furnishings, and accessories required for interior design projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to project timelines.
  • Research potential suppliers and vendors, evaluate their products and services, and negotiate contracts and pricing terms to secure favorable deals.
  • Collaborate with designers and project managers to understand project requirements and develop procurement strategies that meet quality and budgetary requirements.
  • Manage supplier relationships and maintain a vendor database, including evaluating performance, resolving issues, and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor inventory levels and track materials and products to ensure adequate supply for ongoing projects while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.
  • Coordinate with logistics and shipping providers to arrange timely delivery of materials to project sites and resolve any shipping or delivery issues that may arise.
  • Conduct regular market research and stay informed about industry trends, new products, and emerging suppliers to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Prepare and analyze procurement reports and metrics to track spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve procurement efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Assist with budget planning and forecasting, providing input on procurement costs and helping to manage project budgets effectively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPSM or CSCP are a plus.
  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within the interior design or construction industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing from suppliers and vendors.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on optimizing procurement processes and reducing costs.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management principles, and contract negotiation techniques.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as ERP systems, e-procurement platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen and a results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving strategic objectives and driving business success.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
