Role: Procurement Specialist (Medical Device)

Location: Alameda, CA - 94501

Duration: 12 Months on W2

Shift: 8 AM to 5 PM

Overview:
Execute purchasing and supply management strategies, support category managers. Ensure high levels of customer service and adherence to business ethics. This role involves problem-solving, improving procurement processes, and leading cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and manage purchase order (PO) conversions and approvals up to $1,000,000
• Lead negotiations and enable supplier integration and performance improvements
• Solve complex procurement issues and manage PO change processes
• Drive value and cost savings, develop bids, and lead complex RFPs
• Develop and maintain business relationships with diverse suppliers
• Communicate with departments to ensure proper documentation for purchases

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Financial, or equivalent experience
• Project management skills; PMP certification is a plus
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and people skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in procurement, category management, or project management
• Financial experience in benchmarking, spend management, or savings tracking
• Analytical skills in GAP analysis, regression analytics, or scenario planning
• Supplier relationship management experience
