Overview We are seeking a senior Product Design Engineer to drive the mechanical architecture and component integration for next-generation consumer hardware. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will translate early-stage ideation into reality for high-volume manufacturing. You will partner 1-to-1 with existing project leads to scale execution bandwidth as we sprint toward our first prototype builds. Responsibilities Mechanical Architecture: Design and integrate complex mechanical components for handheld or wearable consumer electronics. Cross-Functional Integration: Partner with internal Hardware, Electrical (EE), and Validation teams to optimize component placement and flexible printed circuit (FPC) routing. Prototyping & DFM: Drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM) considerations to ensure upcoming prototype builds are successful and representative of mass production constraints. Problem Solving: Independently own and resolve semi-ambiguous engineering problems under aggressive timelines. Qualifications Experience: 10+ years of product design/mechanical engineering experience within the consumer electronics space (or complex durable goods like automotive). 3D CAD Fluency: Expert proficiency in a major 3D CAD system. Internal design is done in Siemens NX , but fluency in Creo, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360 is highly transferable. Manufacturing Processes: Deep technical expertise in plastic injection molding, compression molding, sheet metal, casting, and CNC machining. Soft Skills: Exceptional cross-functional communication skills with a proven ability to manage technical conflict and trade-offs collaboratively. #J-18808-Ljbffr
