Location: Jefferson City, MO | Fully Remote

Travel: Up to 2 times per quarter (likely for planning/offsite sessions)

Duration: 7-Month W2 Contract

Pay Rate: $40–$45/hour


Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Mid-Level Product Designer to join a growing product design team. In this role, you will help design and evolve digital products that deliver meaningful, accessible, and intuitive user experiences for customers.

You will collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, product specialists, and fellow designers to translate business requirements into intuitive, functional, and technically feasible design solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative Agile environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about user-centered design.


Key Responsibilities

Design Execution & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with lead designers to finalize feature designs and expand workflows to cover all use cases
  • Translate business and technical requirements into user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs
  • Create interactive prototypes with detailed design annotations
  • Ensure designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA)
  • Partner with product owners and Agile teams to ensure designs are clearly represented in epics and user stories
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily standups
  • Conduct design QA to ensure final implementation matches design specifications


User Research & Testing

  • Conduct user research and usability testing
  • Analyze and synthesize research findings into actionable insights
  • Present research findings and design concepts to stakeholders
  • Iterate based on feedback to refine solutions


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Represent design in cross-functional discussions
  • Clearly communicate design decisions to developers, product managers, and business stakeholders
  • Advocate for user experience throughout the product lifecycle


Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to evolving design processes and best practices
  • Challenge the status quo by testing new ideas and improving usability, consistency, and innovation


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in digital product design (web and mobile)
  • Experience designing B2B platforms or complex systems
  • Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with design systems
  • Experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design documentation
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing
  • Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical environments
  • Experience designing accessible interfaces for complex enterprise applications


Additional Details

  • Fully remote role
  • May require travel up to two times per quarter for planning sessions
