About the Role: We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Product Development Coordinator to support our growing Product Development team. This newly created role is ideal for someone early in their career who is passionate about skincare and personal care products and eager to learn the product development process from concept to launch. In this role, you will assist in coordinating development projects, organizing documentation, and supporting cross-functional communication to help bring new products to market. You will work closely with the Senior Product Developer, formulas, and collaborate with Marketing, Creative, Operations, and external manufacturing partners. This is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in the beauty industry within a fast‑paced and collaborative environment. The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000 CAD. Responsibilities: Product Development Coordination Assist in preparing detailed product briefs, including claims, target customer, pricing, and positioning Organize and track formula submissions, revisions, evaluations, and cross-functional feedback Monitor development timelines, follow up on outstanding items, and support cross‑functional alignment Maintain accurate documentation, including specifications, testing, claims substantiation, and version control Support ingredient and formula documentation within the Good Face platform Coordinate with contract manufacturers on samples, testing timelines, claims support, and required documentation Support the planning and execution of consumer studies, including product evaluations, Esthetician surveys, annual brand surveys, and scent preference surveys Create and manage surveys, conduct study logistics, and track response rates Organize and summarize feedback into clear reports highlighting key trends and insights Trend & Competitive Research Research product, ingredient, and consumer trends within the beauty industry Monitor competitor launches, claims, positioning, and innovation strategies Prepare competitive benchmarking analyses and summary reports Who You Are: 1–2 years of product development experience in the beauty industry (skincare preferred) Strong interest in beauty products, ingredients, and how they work Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable working with spreadsheets, trackers, and large sets of data Ability to manage multiple projects and follow through on deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners Familiarity with regulatory requirements and product testing within the beauty industry (preferred but not required) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with is a plus Analytical mindset with the ability to summarize data and feedback clearly Adaptable and able to shift priorities as business needs evolve French is a bonus Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Our team is primarily headquartered in Ottawa, Canada. We're open to remote candidates, but would like to hire first in Ottawa, so we can gather easily.
