Product Development Program Associate – 2027 Key Role Details Full‑time new hires will start as a cohort in a rotational program in August 2027. This is a full‑time associate position within a two‑year rotational program, designed as a career accelerator. Rotations occur at the one‑year mark and provide hands‑on experience in two distinct roles. Associates may choose to remain in their final role placement upon completion of the program or explore other opportunities at Capital One. Participation requires you to be located in the continental United States and attend in‑person at your assigned location throughout the Program, in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid working model ( Capital One will not sponsor new applicants for employment authorization or offer any immigration‑related support for this position. Basic Qualifications Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s degree or higher, with an expectation of completing the program by August 2027 or earlier. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated interest and experience in product management, software delivery, data science, software engineering, or leveraging software to solve customer and business problems. Preferred majors include Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related majors. Responsibilities Gain hands‑on experience leveraging new technology while building product‑management skills in two distinct roles over two years. Develop leadership skills through meaningful interaction with product leaders. Leverage data and customer insights to understand customer and business problems, make strategic business decisions, and lead high‑functioning tech teams to implement solutions. Participate in experiential education weeks focused on leadership development, challenging strategic problem‑solving exercises, and extensive networking activities. Partner with other product managers to ship, scale, and improve products that delight customers and position the company for growth. Own the success and life cycle of features for your product/platform, setting strategy and driving prioritization. Collaborate with internal partners and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Engage with developers, designers, analysts, data scientists, customers and other subject‑matter experts to build cutting‑edge products. The Ideal Candidate Would Be Curious, asks why and explores new challenges. Action‑oriented, organized, and focused on goals, using data analysis and human‑centered design. The ranges are: Chicago, IL: $99,000 – $99,000 McLean, VA: $109,000 – $109,000 New York, NY: $119,000 – $119,000 Plano, TX: $99,000 – $99,000 Richmond, VA: $99,000 – $99,000 This role is also eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, which can include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
