Why join us Medical Dental Vision 401k PTO Responsibilities Embrace a Safety First mindset to ensure personal and team safety while handling lab equipment and materials. Conduct chemical and physical testing on new raw materials, product development batches, and customer-supplied samples. Support new product development projects, including formulation bench weighs, data analysis, statistical process control (SPC), report generation, and documentation in laboratory information management systems (LIMS). Maintain, calibrate, and perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment and instrumentation, coordinating spare parts and replacements as needed. Develop, optimize, and implement new and existing test methods, including hardware and software solutions, and document all procedures. Provide training to team members as necessary. Investigate laboratory and production processes through hands-on testing and data review, applying troubleshooting skills to enhance product quality and process efficiency. Take initiative in identifying, reporting, and addressing inconsistent data or operational challenges. Contribute to a culture of Continuous Improvement by suggesting innovative solutions and improvements. Qualifications Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with lab-specific software and LIMS systems. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on short ladders. Comfortable using personal protective equipment (PPE), including work boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, and heat/flame protective clothing. Associate degree in Chemistry, Laboratory Science, or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience in chemistry, chemical engineering, ceramics, materials science, or similar disciplines. Mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience working on high-temperature equipment. Strong analytical, computational, and data interpretation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-starter with the ability to generate new projects and ideas. Flexible and adaptable in managing shifting priorities.
